1/3 of the way around

Mia, the dog, and I only got 1/3 of the way around the lake today.

The lake is warm in early Sept. The air is cool. The fog gets going. The sun comes up. Blammo. It’s so pretty out there in the mornings in Sept.

We started walking from the usual spot. The goal was to walk the whole thing but then the moments started. The rolling fog pushed to the North East. The dark water contrasted the light blue sky. The panorama camera could not keep up when panning through the shades of blue that bumped up against the golden part of the sun rise in the skyline.

Then, the dock started to move. I was being as still as possible to capture a 10 second video of that fog. And I was quiet too. But, the dock was moving. It moved up and down like someone walking. A fine retired gentleman came out with his fishing pole. “Good morning.” Yes! Indeed! “I try to fish every morning now that I’m retired” he said. Hell yeah!

But, remember, the walk. So, off we went. Let’s get around the lake.

A bit down the path Mia got spooked by something in the bushes. I did not see it right away. Not even close. But then… two figures became apparent - sitting on chairs. Two love birds watching the sun rise. What a day! What a way to start the day.

A bit down… the dock was in full glowing orange. The tender was there waiting for a sailor to go put their boat to work. Yet, there was little wind. A bit further down a kayaker could be seen faintly in the distance. The fog rolled around the boat. The sun kept rising. Could I capture some video with my silly little phone? I left the big camera (you know - the new one) at home. I tried. I kneeled by a bench. I fanagled something stable. I think I got it - sorta.

A bit further down… the boats were just going off. It was going off. I was wondering why there were not lines of people like a fireworks show. They could wait for the sun to come up the same way. It’d be a better show. :) Look at it!

What a day? What a way to start the day. A guy was standing on his head while shouting a song. Two guys were pumping up a boat. The lake was going off today. So glad to have made it out there. 1/3 of the way around was just what we needed. #momentumfarm
